Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations with precise instrument passingMaintain strict aseptic techniques and sterilization protocols
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Manage surgical equipment inventory and maintenance
- Mentor junior technologists on advanced surgical techniques
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential
- Minimum 3 years of OR experience in high-volume trauma center
- Expertise in orthopedic, neuro, and general surgical specialties
- Current BLS certification
- Proven ability to maintain composure in emergency situations
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
