Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and sterile fields for complex surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations, including passing instruments and maintaining sterile technique
- Manage surgical inventory and ensure proper sterilization of instruments
- Mentor junior technicians and enforce safety protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize surgical workflows
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 3 years of OR experience with neuro/general surgery focus
- BLS certification and current Arizona state license
- Proven expertise in sterile processing and instrument management
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure emergency situations
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
