Responsibilities
- Assist in complex surgical procedures across specialties including orthopedics, neurosurgery, and cardiovascular
- Maintain sterile fields and implement strict aseptic techniques
- Prepare operating rooms with specialized equipment and instrumentation
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and equipment
- Train and mentor junior surgical technologists
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and Joint Commission standards
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Level I trauma center setting
- Expertise in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and surgical procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Associate degree in Surgical Technology or related field
