Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations maintaining sterile technique
- Manage surgical inventory and equipment sterilization protocols
- Train junior surgical technologists on best practices
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless procedures
- Maintain accurate surgical documentation and equipment logs
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- 3+ years of experience in general/orthopedic surgery
- BLS certification required, CNOR preferred
- Experience with robotic surgical systems a plus
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing standards
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- New Mexico Surgical Tech license required
