Responsibilities
- Lead complex surgical procedures across orthopedic, neuro, and cardiovascular specialties
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce OSHA compliance protocols
- Train and mentor junior surgical techs on advanced techniques
- Coordinate instrument/equipment inventory with vendor partnerships
- Implement process improvements for surgical efficiency
- Collaborate with surgeons on procedural innovation
- Document cases in Epic EMR with 100% accuracy
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with 5+ years OR experience
- Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) preferred
- Experience in Level I trauma center or specialty hospital
- Advanced robotic surgery certification (da Vinci)
- Expertise in sterile processing and sterilization validation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand 8+ hours
- BLS/CPR with ACLS certification
