Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and compound sterile/non-sterile medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage prescription processing, verification, and inventory control
- Operate automated dispensing systems and maintain sterile compounding areas
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure compliance with NYS pharmacy regulations and HIPAA standards
- Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize medication therapy outcomes
Qualifications
- Current NYS Pharmacy Technician license (required)
- 1+ years retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
- Strong knowledge of sterile compounding USP 797/800
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency and EMR system experience
