Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
- Perform vital sign checks, EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab testing
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant program graduate (CMA, RMA, or CCMA preferred)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in fast-paced medical setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR experience highly valued)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure environments
- Detroit metro area residency required
