Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and patient preparation
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- North Carolina Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
