Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation and patient scheduling
- Administer injections and medications as directed by providers
- Coordinate patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and inventory of medical supplies
- Collaborate with nursing and administrative teams for seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Athena preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask
- High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred
