Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed under physician supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and manage patient scheduling
- Perform basic lab tests, EKGs, and phlebotomy with precision
- Ensure sterile exam environments and proper handling of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year experience in clinical or outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or experience preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical protocols
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask efficiently
