Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Administer injections, vaccinations, and medications per physician orders
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and patient documentation
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications professionally
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and compliant with OSHA standards
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR certification and BLS certification required
- Active New Mexico Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic experience strongly preferred)
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
