Responsibilities
- Perform clinical procedures including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring sterile environments and proper equipment functionality
- Assist providers during patient examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient flow and scheduling for optimal clinic efficiency
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Coordinate patient education materials and follow-up care plans
- Handle medical inventory management and supply ordering
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
- Spanish bilingualism strongly preferred
