Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including patient intake, vital sign measurements, and EKG procedures
- Assist physicians with examinations, injections, and wound care
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and exam rooms
- Handle lab specimens and process basic laboratory tests
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication protocols
- Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals with specialists
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical office setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or experience with similar platforms)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with patients and healthcare team members
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
