Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and patient documentation
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications professionally
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and compliant with OSHA standards
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with specialty providers
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification strongly preferred
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth)
- Excellent venipuncture and phlebotomy skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Oklahoma medical assistant license if applicable
