Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs measurement, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow, schedule appointments, and handle administrative duties
- Prepare and sterilize medical equipment and exam rooms
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and preventive care
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current and valid Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Athenahealth, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required
- Positive attitude and passion for patient-centered care
