Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including patient intake, vital sign measurement, and EKG procedures
- Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and minor surgical procedures
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and medical supplies
- Electronic health record (EHR) documentation and patient chart management
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with specialty departments
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification and North Carolina MA license
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build patient rapport
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
