Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during cardiovascular procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy with precision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up communications
- Administer injections and medications per physician protocols
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and medical equipment
- Provide patient education on cardiac health and medication management
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in cardiology or primary care
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/Meditech preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and cardiac procedures
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Oklahoma medical assistant license in good standing
