Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including vital signs assessment
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and diagnostic tests
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and patient documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen processing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant diploma or Associate's degree
- Current Florida Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Spanish fluency highly desirable
