Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures, including patient preparation, specimen collection, and basic laboratory tests
- Perform vital sign measurements, EKGs, and phlebotomy with precision and care
- Manage patient flow, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate medical records using EHR systems
- Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care measures
- Ensure exam rooms and medical equipment are sanitized, stocked, and ready for patient visits
- Coordinate with insurance providers and handle billing documentation efficiently
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program with current CMA or RMA certification
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, NextGen, or similar) and medical terminology
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and phlebotomy procedures
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and inventory management
- Ability to multitask effectively in a high-pressure environment
