Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain clinical inventory
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure strict adherence to OSHA standards
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR certification and BLS required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Indiana Medical Assistant certification (or willingness to obtain)
