Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Administer medications and perform phlebotomy/EKGs per protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Sterilize equipment and manage exam room inventory
- Coordinate patient scheduling and insurance verification
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Assist with in-office lab processing and quality control
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient/ambulatory setting
- BLS/CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Proficient in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred)
