Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
- Accurately document medical histories and vital signs in EHR systems
- Perform clinical tasks including phlebotomy, EKGs, and medication administration
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Manage inventory and sterilization of medical equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification or CMA/RMA
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical protocols
- Exceptional communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- High school diploma or equivalent required
