Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during medical procedures
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, ECGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with healthcare teams for seamless care
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care measures
- Maintain sterile examination rooms and inventory of medical supplies
- Assist with insurance verification and billing documentation
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized institution
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Spanish bilingualism strongly preferred
