Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist providers during clinical procedures and administer medications
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow and manage exam room inventory
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings
