Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Administer injections, perform venipuncture, and process laboratory specimens
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and ensure accurate documentation
- Schedule appointments, handle insurance verification, and maintain inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication protocols
- Uphold strict HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Athena preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or equivalent
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Texas state medical assistant license (if applicable)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
