Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately record vital signs and patient histories in EHR systems
- Administer injections, medications, and perform routine lab tests
- Coordinate patient flow, schedule appointments, and manage medical supplies
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic protocols
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and sterile environments
Qualifications
- Current Texas Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or EMR preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to multitask efficiently
- Attention to detail in documentation and patient care protocols
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Spanish bilingual a plus
