Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital signs measurement and documentation
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and diagnostic tests
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Schedule appointments and maintain efficient clinic workflow
- Handle billing coding and insurance verification processes
- Maintain sterile examination environments and inventory control
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Texas state certification or registration required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent communication skills in English/Spanish
- Ability to multitask in high-volume settings
