Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
- Administer medications and perform basic diagnostic tests (EKG, injections, phlebotomy)
- Manage patient electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Schedule appointments, handle billing, and maintain inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
