Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and collect specimens
- Assist providers during clinical procedures and administer medications
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle insurance verification
- Inventory medical supplies and ensure exam rooms are stocked
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant program graduate or equivalent experience
- Kentucky Medical Assistant certification (AAMA or AMT) required
- 1+ years of clinical experience in ambulatory care preferred
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience a plus)
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR/BLS certification
