Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital signs measurement and history documentation
- Assist physicians during clinical procedures and diagnostic tests
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems
- Sterilize equipment and maintain examination room supplies
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic, Cerner preferred)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Washington DC medical license or eligible for immediate application
