Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and wound care
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, medical instruments, and supplies
- Manage patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively with healthcare team
- Administer medications under physician supervision and monitor patient responses
- Perform point-of-care testing and basic laboratory procedures
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in electronic health records (Epic/EMR preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from accredited institution
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Pennsylvania state medical assistant license (if applicable)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
