Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Perform clinical duties including vital sign measurement, EKGs, and specimen collection
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic health documentation
- Schedule appointments and manage patient communications
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; accredited Medical Assistant certification required
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Texas Medical Assistant registration (or eligibility)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical protocols
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
