Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and intake screenings with precision.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during clinical examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize medical instruments, and maintain a clean, sanitized environment.
- Manage and update patient medical records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system accurately.
- Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and prescription refills efficiently.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by a licensed provider.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and insurance providers regarding care plans.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is a plus.
- Must be willing to travel to patient locations within the New York area.
