Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature) and measurements accurately.
- Prepare patients for examination and assist physicians during medical procedures.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccinations as directed by licensed providers.
- Maintain and update accurate patient medical records and electronic health charts.
- Coordinate patient appointments and manage front desk reception duties when necessary.
- Assist with laboratory testing, phlebotomy, and specimen collection.
- Communicate effectively with patients to ensure comfort and understanding of treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with attention to detail.
- Relevant experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred.
