Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Perform vital sign measurements, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment
- Manage patient records using EMR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications
- Collect and process laboratory specimens
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Active CMA (AAMA), RMA, or CCMA certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory setting
- Proficiency in venipuncture and basic laboratory procedures
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Experience with EMR/EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
