Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during diagnostic procedures
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and phlebotomy
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain exam room inventory
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication protocols
- Assist with administrative duties including scheduling and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or experience with EMR software)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
