Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Measure vital signs, record patient history, and assist providers during examinations.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient check-in/check-out processes, update electronic health records (EHR), and handle insurance verification.
- Lab Duties: Collect and process laboratory specimens, perform basic point-of-care testing, and prepare samples for analysis.
- Facility Management: Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of exam rooms and medical equipment.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and insurance companies to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician office or clinic setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and strong computer literacy.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a compassionate bedside manner.
