Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals measurement, and medical history collection with accuracy and empathy.
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Draw blood (phlebotomy) and process laboratory specimens for testing.
- Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) and maintain up-to-date patient charts.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure infection control protocols are met.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and referrals to specialists.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth) is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume clinical setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor and a commitment to HIPAA compliance.
- Must be available for immediate start.
