Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during cardiology procedures
- Perform EKGs, vital sign monitoring, and basic lab tests
- Manage patient medical records and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize clinic efficiency
- Administer injections and medications under physician supervision
- Provide patient education on cardiac health protocols
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 2 years cardiology or specialty practice experience
- Proficiency in EKG interpretation and phlebotomy
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and documentation
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient interactions
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
