Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, vitals measurement, and medical history documentation.
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor medical treatments.
- Maintain strict infection control standards and sterilize medical equipment.
- Manage administrative duties including scheduling appointments, updating patient records, and verifying insurance information.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing.
- Provide clear patient education on medications, diets, and post-procedure care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Active California Medical Assistant license.
- Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
