Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab procedures with precision
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems ensuring accurate documentation
- Administer medications and immunizations following strict protocols
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care across departments
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive health measures
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification with ability to maintain
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Detail-oriented approach to documentation and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to multitask efficiently in high-volume practice
- Spanish bilingualism strongly preferred
