Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and assist physicians during diagnostic procedures
- Perform clinical tasks including phlebotomy, ECG, wound care, and medication administration
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and maintain accurate documentation
- Schedule appointments, handle insurance verifications, and process medical billing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Maintain clean and organized exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and manage inventory
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical office or hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and clinical protocols
- Excellent communication skills with ability to interact compassionately with diverse patients
- Basic computer skills and ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
