Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab tests per protocols
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
- Schedule appointments, handle billing codes, and maintain inventory
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification and Illinois medical assistant registration
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
