Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients, verifying insurance information and collecting co-pays accurately.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, vitals, and procedures in a sterile environment.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory of medical supplies.
- Administer injections and medications as directed by physicians, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Record patient histories, symptoms, and treatment plans into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and manage incoming patient inquiries.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in EMR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner.
