About the Role:
The Medical Assistant will work closely with physicians and nursing staff to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic. You will play a vital role in patient satisfaction and clinical efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intakes, including updating medical histories and verifying insurance information.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by the provider.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Maintain a clean and organized examination room environment.
- Handle front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and answering patient inquiries.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or equivalent (required).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
