Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intakes, including accurate vital signs, medical history review, and insurance verification.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries.
- Perform venipuncture, EKGs, and point-of-care testing with strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage and maintain Electronic Health Records (EHR) with 100% accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, procedures, and post-care instructions.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and specialist referrals efficiently.
- Ensure the examination rooms are stocked, sanitized, and organized for optimal patient flow.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office or urgent care setting preferred.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
