Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures
- Perform vital sign checks and EKG recordings
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Schedule patient appointments and manage appointment flow
- Collect and process laboratory specimens
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, NextGen, etc.)
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments
- Flexible availability including weekends and evenings
