Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments
- Administer medications under provider supervision
- Handle patient scheduling and billing documentation
- Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced setting
- Active BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or NextGen)
- Excellent patient communication skills
- Ability to work 8+ hour shifts on short notice
- Valid DC healthcare worker clearance
- COVID-19 vaccination required
