Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen processing
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor surgical interventions
- Manage patient flow, room preparation, and inventory maintenance
- Accurately document patient encounters in EMR systems (Epic/Cerner preferred)
- Administer medications and immunizations per physician protocols
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification with current credentials
- Proficiency in venipuncture, capillary puncture, and basic lab procedures
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Ability to adapt quickly to diverse clinical environments
- Excellent communication skills with patients and healthcare teams
