Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, including medical history collection and insurance verification.
- Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and height/weight.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure a clean, safe environment.
- Assist providers during patient examinations and minor procedures.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccines as directed by licensed personnel.
- Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) and medical charts.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and lab results.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician office or clinic setting.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Valid Massachusetts Driver's License and reliable transportation.
